We live in Hay and will be driving to get there.

yea i dnt know whr Hay is but yea…. theres a few spots you can go if you want to go north of Sydney you could Byron bay but if you want 2 go south of Sydney you could go to Batemans bay,or if you keep going south so your nearly at the Victorian border you could go to the town i live in called merimbula is a great place to go during the summer, the beaches are quiet pretty and there is about 4-5 beaches there is also a lake, for leisure you could go to magic mountain( theme park), go whale watching, go to the beach 20 mins drive away you could go to the historic town of ben Boyd where they used to hunt whales and go to the whale museum, 1/2 hour drive north of merimbula you could go and visit the Bega cheese factory, its very good. there is a lot of accommodation in merimbula ranging from about 4 starts to a caravan park. its a very pretty town and is located about an hour and a half from the Victorian border and is about 6 hours drive from sydney.

i am getting my room totaly redone. Im getting new ferniture and everything.But i need some help… i dont know how to decorate it! i already have the bedding. It is purple blue and pink. And i know im getting a really pretty mural of a sunset on the beach but i just need help with decoration and everything. OH and i got shells from the beach!

Baskets of beach pebbles and seashells are great decorations, as well as dried starfish and sand dollars. Find some soft watercolors of beach-scapes or old oars to lean in a corner of the room. White wood mirrors with a little distress on the frame open a room up. Don’t go overboard with the theme (no pun intended) by covering everything in beachy stuff but keep the trim colors light and airy and cordinated and you should be fine. Throw pillows with beach embroidery are nice but stick with one or two of those and the rest in a variety of colors that match the theme instead of the theme itself. Good luck!

Which do you find more romantic?

Whew, I think when with the right person either one is romantic, but if I had to choose one, I guess it would be a walk along the ocean beach during sunset.

stayed at ocean lakes last year and loved it! ocean lakes, however won’t take dogs and we have a 4 pounder. i know there are individuals who rent properties there and dogs are allowed with a deposit. can anyone help me find a small house (sleeps 2) that takes dogs, close to beach, under 1000?

most beaches in australia have many gays, but they tend to hang out in section at the far end of the beach, so i suggest you lay your towel at the start of the beach if you want less gays

Mexicans are mooching off of Americans becuase they are too lazy to take care of business at home. It is easier to jump the boarder to let me support them to work hard to improve their own country. What if we were to send 1 guard unit to mexico and take all their beach resort for the US as payment for all th BS we put up with over their fence jumpers. All the poor working stiffs who cant get a raise because there are a million mexicans who will do his job for less can get vouchers for free vacations…are you with me? every fence an Arizona farmer has to mend because an Illegal cut it to get in will earn them 1 day at an all inclusive. This could work!!

you know i cant believe i didn’t think of this……..this is a very good idea, it would be a good idea, but we would charge american tourists way more money to visit there than mexacins do, so visitors would be less

We are looking for somewhere which will be nice in May, and is somewhere we can realx and generally be pampered to the extreme for a couple of weeks! Budget isn’t really an problem.

Hi im trying to decorate a room with a beach theme and was wondering what i could put in it like decorations and pictures or just anything to remind me of the fun peace full beach! Im on a limited budget because im only a kid so printing images or getting simple things would be in my range or stuff. I have some ideas but a few are better then one thanks.

i have a mural on my wall of the ocean — my fan looks like leaves — the room is colorful.

be creative. use eccentric things — seashells, vibrant colors, decorative pillows, etccccc.

Renting a beach cottage for one week this summer. There will be two adults and two children (one baby, one teenager).
The owner is providing the bare minimum: a few pots, pans and silverware. That’s about it…no small appliances at all (microwave, TV, toaster), linens, etc.
Aside from the obvious do you have suggestions/tips to make life easier while we’re there? Looking very forward to it and starting to plan already…want to be sure everything’s covered! Thanks for any help!

Sunscreen, sunglasses, snacks and games for the kids, a camera and battery charger, TOILET PAPER, cleaning supplies, bug spray, bath towels and a couple of good books. Don’t forget things like a can opener, corkscrew, bottle opener, first aid kit, cell phone & charger, a detailed map of the area and swim suits.

Don’t bring a lot of modern conveniences. Leave the DVDs and player at home. (I included the cell phone for emergencies.)
