Can anyone suggest a condo or cottage to rent on the beach on Sanibel Island?

My husband & I would like to vacation on Sanibel Island. Neither of us had ever been there. There seems to be so many places & very expensive. It is quiet confusing. We are looking for a clean place, on the beach with a full kitchen & grill for BBQ. Also, do you need to rent a car to get around? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have never been to Sanibel Island, although I will say that my experience with Vacation Rentals by Owner has been a very good source for me for various other vacation spots. When reviewing your options, sit quietly and ask yourself the question, "which one of these places is right for us?" – usually one will peek your interest over the rest. You can usually contact the owner and ask as many questions as you like, as well as photos etc.

    you have picked a nice spot. be diligent and you will find one.

    do not settle for fort myers beach. that is quite a bit different crows there.

    It looks like a condo rental might be the cheapest option for you. To see the lowest rents, use the menu on the right side to sort by price.

    I’m not sure whether you’ll need a car, but there are certainly plenty of car rental places on the island if you need one.
