take your inspiration from the coast itself – so blues, greens, slate greys, sand colors with whites, creams, beiges etc will go great

try to choose natural products for furniture, fabrics, accessories etc – linen, seagrass, wood, leather etc

keep it all very simple and ‘homely’ but mainly quite ‘pale’ and clean looking, and you should be onto a winner

good luck and hope you get the feel of the seaside at home really soon

My bedroom is a ‘robins egg blue’ which reflects the color of the water in the winter (here anyway).
My office is a soft greenish color which reflects the color of the water in the summer.
My living room/dining room combo is khaki (tan, beigei, or creme would work). This reflects the sand and is a ‘classic’.
My kitchen is a soft yellow, relecting the sun.
Last is my bathroom. It is a deep dark blue…reflecting the night sky.
All the trim is white.
In the bedroom the curtains – gauzy, thin, lightweight – are white, as are the spread and shams. I have wood side tables, but have white lamps on them.
In the bathroom the accessories are soft yellow and white.
In the living room/dining room I have some touches of black (picture frames, flower pot) but have gone with mostly the khaki ‘family’. You can do the same with your furniture – tan on tan, etc.
Make sure your furniture is comfortable. Remember your home is not a show case, but a haven for you and your family.
