where is a good place to visit for a relaxing exotic sunny beach holiday outside of Europe?

Nearly at the end of completing my dissertation and want to book a holiday to remember. Can anyone suggest a place i can get loads of sun, sea and sand. I also want a place that i can really relax and soak in the culture.
