Where is warm enough for a beach holiday in December?

I’m looking to take my family away for a holiday in late December. Where can we go to get warm sunshine that late in the year. I can’t afford to fly long haul so it needs to be southern europe or thereabouts.

Thanks.

The Canary islands are perhaps one of, if not the best winter sun destinations within Europe, although despite being classed as Spain, they are more Africa if we are being geographically correct.

Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, take your pick :o )

Israel lately has been warm even in Winter, you can visit Eilat,Israel which is hot most of the year, and 25-30C in that time isn’t uncommon at all..
It is just near Europe.. Don’t know what else I could suggest

    Edit :
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eilat#Climate
It says 11-23 but it is actually even hotter, depends what you define "warm"

Well you probably have to get out of Europe. I guess your ideal destination is going to be Dubai. Because Dubai is currently a stopover and transfer area for many international flights to Asia you proabably can get a good deal on the price.

last person has it spot on, the canaries but i would say southern gran canaria if i were to pick one, beaches there are amazing and one in particular in playa del ingles has sand dunes and is 8km long 3 km wide, easily the biggest beach i have ever seen, ryanair and easyjet both fly there for next to nothing

i was there in december last year and the weather was 23-24C every day http://www.canaryforum.com/gc/ingles.html
