I am looking to rent a beach house for 6 nights in August. I do not want to pay over $475.00 for entire week mon-sat. any suggestions
There are several agencies that rent out homes for the week. Start with www.galveston.com. There are links to some of these agencies under "Where to Stay."
Other agencies include Sand ‘N’ Sea, and BayReef and ABSeaResorts. Sand ‘N’ Sea is probably the largest and has the biggest ‘inventory’ though keep in mind that since so many of the coastal areas IN OTHER STATES have been affected by the oil spill that people are now FLOCKING to Galveston for their beach vacations so homes are really booking fast.
I live in Houston and go to Galveston quite a alot. I’m not really sure about beach house rentals. You might try contacting the Galveston Chamber of Commerce and they could possibly tell you.
All I really know for sure is that the beaches are still oil free.
