The most popular in that area is Matabungkay located near Lian Batangas. Just put Matabungkay on yahoo search and you will find all kinds of web sights for hotels etc. Another popular spot is Puerta Gallera on the north shore of Mindoro. It is a 2 hour boat trip from Batangas City. The tourist hotels in Manila have a package deal going there leaving in the morning from Manila about 8am and arriving at about noon. Another popular spot is Bario Barretto on Subic Bay (Zanbales Province). You have to take a bus from Manila to Olongapo.

depends on your budget, in cavite, there’s puerto azul and caylabne as "better" in batangas, try those in nasugbu (punta fuego or munting buhangin) of those in laiya…calatagan beaches aren’t that good
