My boyfriend and I are planning a trip in feb and would like a place that has a nice beach, amazing nightlife (clubs, etc), good food and fun things to do during the day (excursions etc.) We were considering aruba and curacao but dont know much about them. Has anyone ever been or can anyone suggest a better place for a couple (28 yrs old) to go and have fun? thanks in advance
Costa Rica has great food, often live music, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Flights are pretty reasonable and you can treat yourself to a stay in an all inclusive resort.

Aruba is a great island, but actually only Oranjestad has great entertainment and great food. It just depends on how long you would like to stay. besidesthat, most of the hotels and resorts are "far" from the citycentre, and you’ll need to take a cab.
Curacao I’d like better. There are so many great diner oppertunities on the sea shore, very romantic. They are behind the van der valk hotel, so nice. Party oppertunities everywhere, almost on every corner.
Enjoy, on whatever decision you make.

I would try Rosarito Mexico for a cheaper option. If you live on the west coast you can drive to the border and take the bus. There are tons of things to do in Rosarito, but it still also has the feel of a "real town" as opposed to just a tourist trap. I found an article about it- the article speaks to college kids, but there are plenty of places in Rosarito for older people to go. In fact, most of the college kids go to one or two clubs leaving the rest of the bars for everyone older.
