So I have about 4-5 days in Thailand. I want to stay in one place and I want it to be right on the beach. I plan to go scuba diving for 2-3 days and the rest of the time I want to go snorkeling. Also a decent night life would be great too. All this at a reasonable price. What have you got for me?

Phuket is a rather established tourist spot. You find anything they but more crowed.
Koh Samui is something like Ibiza island but in Asia.
Krabi is pretty new and sounds like a very peaceful toursit spot.

Phuket is recommended. You can have nice diving with night life.
Patong is the most popular beach on Phuket. You can look for somewhere to stay close to Patong. At Patong itself is too crowded, but it close to action spots.
You better check airlines who fly to and from Phuket internationally, so that you don’t waste time for transit between domestic flight and internatinal flight.

you can try phuket but the hotels are quite expensive compared with the hotels in Koh Samui.
You can check the lamai or chaweng beach in Koh Samui.
in phuket, try the surin beach. I assumed you want your vacation as quiet as possible.
