What are some quick meal ideas to cook on my beach vacation?

I am taking my little brother (13) and my 2 step daughters (4 & 9) to the beach for a week and need to know some things we can eat for lunch and mainly dinner instead of going out to eat for every meal.

If you have access to a BBQ, you should pick up stuff for Kabobs…

Either BBQ or not, you could make burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, salad, green beans, chicken, mac n cheese, rice a roni, spaghetti, grilled cheese, sandwiches, string cheese, oranges, apples with peanut butter, tater tots, french fries, frozen chicken nuggets, watermelon, strawberries, cherries…hope this gives you some ideas!

fish is always quick and easy to make so are turkey burgers (or other burger that is found in the frozen isle), soups, mac and cheese, salads, homemade pizzas (buy the crust and various toppings… I like bbq chicken)

we take a crock pot…(slow cooker)…and get a pork butt roast and throw it in and cook for 6 hours on low….with little water….drain of excess water and pour your favorite BBQ sauce over it….put on bun….and yummmmmm….it is so good….and so easy…

With lunch, they’ll probably be stuffed with icecream and want something light. Try chicken (sliced sweet chilli works best) wrapped in ham if you have access to it. Also good for a light tea.

Sandwiches and fruit for lunch (fruit kabobs are fun),
For dinner-anything you can throw on a grill, like hot dogs or some lean chicken breasts, which you can keep on hand in a marinade of your choosing, placed in ziplok. Some local greens for a salad would be a great accompaniment.
Last resort, anything out of can, such as Beefaroni, and pre-packaged snack-y bits will work, especially if you and the kids are tuckered out from all the sun and surf.

Everytime I spend a week at our beach house I stock up on

corn on the cob (Jersey corn) and tomatoes, fresh sliced deli meats and bread..etc. get same mayo/miracle whip in the house…and when you come off the beach you can make yourself a tasty sandwich with some potato chips.

Also keep sloppy joe sauce on hand and ground beef and make those one night.

If you have time…pre make a pan of lasagna..my mother always did this..and keep it frozen…when you are travling keep it in a cooler…have it the first night you are there.

Also..do some steaks if you have a grill. I love cooking out!
