My boyfriend wants me to go with him to a nudist beach…?

I’m just suspicious, he says it’s just for the experience but do guys want to go with their girls to nudist beaches just so they can check out other girls or what? What do you guys and girls reckon? I trust him completely, and I don’t mind going with him, but I’m curious to know what most people would think to a request like this.

Cool experience. Because he wants you to go with him, it’s not a case of wanting to check out naked people or otherwise do something behind your back. Many won’t be all that much to look at anyway. The other thing to remember is that "nude beach" really means "clothing optional". If you’re not comfortable going nude, go with him anyway, keep your suit on, just go topless, or do whatever your comfort level is. No one will care what you wear (or don’t), and your boyfriend will appreciate that you went. Guys can’t go by themselves without coming across like a creep.

Check it out, you’ve got nothing to lose!

It’s an interesting experience for first timers–he may be interested in looking around at all the other ‘eye candy’, but may also be interested in showing off his girl to the rest of the world.

    Hahahaha! Ahem… sorry my bad.

First off, depending on the reputation of the nudist beach, and depending on your feeling towards such a place, I’d say he just wants to share his excitement to his partner, perhaps he frequents the place and would also like you to experience what it is like. Or as the other guy said, he wants to showcase the both of you, in both case, it will be an experience… bring on the SUN TAN ! ! !

I wouldnt do it. Why would he want other men to see you in the nude? Doesnt he want you to himself? Other girls will be able to see him completely naked, dont you want to be the only one to see him that way? Other guys will be perving at you too.. a bit weird. I wouldnt want to be seen like that! I’d be worried if my boyfriend asked me that question.

Weird. I can’t believe people do that, especially in relationships.

it really depends on the guy and what kind of guy he is
it could be bad, that he wants to look at other girls
or it might be harmless, if hes into that sort of thing, or if he wants to show you off

one thing thats good is that he asked you to come along, so im guessing you dont have anything to worry about

It’s hard to say because I don’t know him, but the standard nudist theory states that the reason for doing it is not to look at the other people or to be looked at by other people, but instead because it’s more comfortable, healthier for mind and body, and more sensible for certain situations (ie: swimming). If you trust him and think that’s honestly why he’d wanna go, and you’re ok with trying it, then try it out and see how he reacts…

A nude beach is actually a clothing optional beach. No one is forcing you to disrobe. It’s not about seeing or being seen. It’s about de-stressing, relaxing, and getting back to innocense.

It makes a lot more sense to me sunbathing w/o clothes. I hate tanlines. Also, skinnydipping is not only healthier, especially for women, but the water feels a whole lot better on you as does the air rather than through a swimsuit that usually stays damp and clammy for a while.

If you don’t go, you have nothing to lose but a good time with a great group of folk. Additionally, nude beaches are usually cleaner than textile (those that aren’t nude) beaches

Perhaps he wants to experience it and you are the perfect choice. Yes, everyone checks everyone else out just like they do at the normal beaches. I’d go for it though I do go to nudist beaches anyway. Go with an open mind and a sense of fun and remember to slip (on a hat), slop (on a shirt) and slap (on some sunscreen) so you won’t get so burnt in places never exposed to intense sunlight before.

If all he wanted to do was to check out other girls, he’d go alone and not embarrass you. More likely, he’s just curious what it would be like and he thinks it might be something that you might eventually enjoy. Tell him about your concerns and set some ground rules. But be aware that it can truly be a wonderful experience. Very liberating and sensual, and once he calms down, he’ll find that it isn’t at all sexual. Rule number one for him is that he needs to get naked. He can take his time, but he’ll not really get it until he does. Rule number two is that you don’t have to. After a while, you’ll probably want to, and you should, but don’t let there be any pressure on you to do so. The people there are used to others not being ready and staying dressed, as long as they’re respectful and don’t gawk.

A long time visitor to beaches and resorts. My wife tolerates it and sometimes joins in, but she’s not as passionate about it as I am. More often, it seems, the men simply enjoy it and get their partner into it, only to have the women eventually embrace it more passionately.
