Is the nightlife in Ocean Beach on Fire Island (NY) decent on weekday nights?

My 21st birthday is coming up and I can get a place on Ocean Beach. But only on a Tuesday night. I assume, since its the summer, and its Ocean Beach, itll be lively no matter what the night. But I want to make sure it’s just not dead. Anyone know? Thanks!

Hmm, I don’t think Ocean Beach is going to be too lively on a Tuesday, because they only grudgingly allow partying on the weekends, so, I’m guessing that, on weekdays, it’s pretty dead…

Here’s a quote from the town website:
"OB, as it is often called, has it’s own police force and court that is in session every Saturday. Ocean Beach tries to run a "tight ship" because it has so many visitors and summer residents. It behooves every visitor to carefully check the regulations as to not run afoul with the law. Although known only a few years ago as the land of "NO!" where, for example, eating ice cream outside the business district was prohibited, OB is now much more relaxed."

So, "much more relaxed" doesn’t exactly sound like a wild party town to me.

Good luck, and the links below are to webpages about the town of Ocean Beach, and to websites about nightlife on Fire Island…
