My friend is feeling really down and really needs a weekend away, but he’s really busy right now, and a bit broke. How can I set up a beach scene at my house to make it almost kind of feel like a vacation?
fill your house with water.
bring some coconut trees and sand.
and have lots of fun.
remember to learn swiming first. ok

I love the ocean, and I would really like to do something like this. I searched online some, but couldn’t find anything. Any ideas?
Just do it. On your own…
unless you need to account for something like volunteer hours, etc. If so, like previously mentioned, contact the city / county.
Enjoy!

I can change everything else, the head board the wall paint and decor but the furniture I cant change, the furniture is….. a make up table, a high boy cabinet with drawers, a wide dresser, another taller skinnier dresser, a desk that folds down to a desk and two end tables next to the bed. Any suggestions?
Go here and click on color visualizer: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/paint_colors/visualizer/
Now pick an interior bedroom scene with dark wood furniture. Write in the color Rainwashed and copy it onto the walls. The trim should be bright white as should the ceiling. Those are the perfect beach cottage colors. I’ve done several beach or cottage themed rooms with these colors and clients are in love with the room when they see it.
I agree with the indoor shutters on the windows or for a more polished look, white flowing sheers. Depending on your age, if you’re a young person for a bedspread, something like this would be a choice of mine: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=118756&RN=31
If older, something more like: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=123300&RN=31
One or two nicely framed pictures, a smart trick is to go to art.com and get posters and then buy inexpensive white or dark wood frames from a local craft store. Here are my suggestions with this room: http://www.art.com/products/p12879155-sa-i2056282/fabrice-de-villeneuve-ocean-amaryllis.htm?sorig=cat&sorigid=0&dimvals=0&ui=a2a275e66cf24282b7d785b751a497fc and http://www.art.com/products/p10283309-sa-i1152391/carol-saxe-sea-breeze-i.htm?sorig=cat&sorigid=0&dimvals=0&ui=a2a275e66cf24282b7d785b751a497fc
Maybe a nice big shell set on a dresser or night stand. Not much more than that, you want to have the affect of uncluttered and breezy.

I live in indiana, looking for the closest ocean beach to vacation with my family
Some where on the New Jersey shore. I would choose Wildwood. I Loved it there when I lived in Jersey. The Cape May Ferry boat across the bay to Delaware is fun for all ages. It’s right near Wildwood at the tip of Jersey.

I have heard it is the longest in Europe.
The Whole island coast area is nudist recreation allowed but not on and near public roads, where the most important road to the beach ends, along where the camp site is, closer as 300 meter to the yacht harbour and near installations like toilets buildings or where you can buy things. The sandy west point of the island is shooting practice for fighter-jets and not open to the public on most of the days. That would include a huge area on Sunday. I could not find the length probably because this does not matter. Nude recreation is allowed in the dunes also.
Vlieland

recommended link that will be helpful rather than randomly clicking each and every link (there are thousands) for individual hotels? I tried Craigs list but that only brought up 4 places when I typed in Rehoboth Beach vacataion rentals and they were not in the actual heart of the city where all the other hotels/motels/condos/B&B’s, etc… are.
Try one of these websites:

I have a dark turquoise room and I am trying to decorate it to turn it into a beach themed room. I would like ideas to help help out that either cost NO MONEY or EXTREMELY LITTLE MONEY. I have tried putting up some pictures but its not doing much. Help!!!!!!
God Bless
P.S. I’m 12 years old(using my moms yahoo answers account with her permission)
xonoctu-On the wall?
Get fine sand….glue into beach wave pattern & then glue sea shells.
Edit -yes, your walls are a nice turquoise…the sand is your beach. (the waves just make it look a little more fun.) You can use some sort of heavy duty glue to place the shells. You might want to add inexpensive sand pails as storing containers in your room…maybe hang beach towels for curtains. Have a random beach ball for decoration….

can think of:
1.)Thou shall not feel on other patrons body.
2. Thou shalt only look in people’s eyes.
3. If thout art slightly outta shape – stay home. Except me!
