I have a few beach themes in my house. I used stuff that we found on the beach. We filled a clear glass jar with shells and sea glass; we bought a couple of starfish (already dead) from a nearby fish and tackle shop and I screwed them onto cabinet doors from the inside.
You could also go to flickr and print out some photos of beach scenes, frame them and hang them.
We found a mirror with a frame that was painted to reflect the sea. I also saw one that had a frame made of driftwood, but it was too big for our use.
If you have a little more money to spend, you can get a border that goes all around the room just under the ceiling. I've seen these with sea horses, others with sand and beach umbrellas, and others with beach chairs, all repeated in a continuous line. This is hung like wallpaper and might require some help from others.

I hope these ideas help. Good luck with your project.
References :
http://www.continuous-home-improvement-help.com/home-decorating-ideas.html

Check out some resale shops, good will etc for beachy items.
A new lamp that you could glue shells onto, pictures of beaches, or just frames that you could take home, remove the pic and put in your own.
You could search through magazines for beachy pictures, palm trees, dolphins, etc.

Or even go online and print off some beach, ocean, shell pictures.

If you can find some inexpensive bamboo type placements, usually around $1, you could use them around the room on tables, desk, nightstand, to display your beachy finds.

Adding ocean colored rugs, pillows, comforter, would also look nice.
