i am getting my room totaly redone. Im getting new ferniture and everything. But i need some help… i dont know how to decorate it! i already have the bedding. It is purple blue and pink. And i know im getting a really pretty mural of a sunset on the beach but i just need help with decoration and everything. OH and i got shells from the beach!
Baskets of beach pebbles and seashells are great decorations, as well as dried starfish and sand dollars. Find some soft watercolors of beach-scapes or old oars to lean in a corner of the room. White wood mirrors with a little distress on the frame open a room up. Don’t go overboard with the theme (no pun intended) by covering everything in beachy stuff but keep the trim colors light and airy and cordinated and you should be fine. Throw pillows with beach embroidery are nice but stick with one or two of those and the rest in a variety of colors that match the theme instead of the theme itself. Good luck!

Just do a lot of searching online. I am looking for new area rug and just saw the coolest beach themed one on eBay just the other day. It had surfboards and other stuff on it. If you have a bathroom to do they sell some cool stuff for bathrooms with a beach theme. My friend did her kids room like that. Search eBay and do some Google searches. You will find lots of stuff.
You may be able to try some decorating websites or the H>V site for some tips from people that have done it also.

There are a lot of really cool tropical themed ceiling fans, and having my ceiling fan on at night always helps me sleep. Here’s one really cool one that you can get with a parrot lampshade – so beachy! http://www.csnceilingfans.com/Fanimation-FP320AB-ISP1-KW2094.html

do u have the furniture already? i’d suggest a really light wood.
do u have a pic of the bedding? for the beach theme, ur gonna wanna play off of the blue in it. soft blue walls would be good, and if possible, snad at the bottom? like the color of it, if u have a little diveder thing.
and blue or white ceiling, it’d be nice if it had clouds up there.
maybe hang a surfboard up on the wall?
and on ur dresser sprinkle some sand if u want and have the shells and stuff on it, and glue them to the furniture. and have snad bottles, like how kids will take multiple colors of sand and put them in a bottle, make some of those and place them around the room. you could use the surfboard as a shelf actually, and put stuff on it.
and little baskets for storage and organizing would look really nice.
