What colours should I paint my room for a beach theme?

A light, breezy, yet sunny and happy beach / california theme?

you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I suggest painting three of your walls "faint coral" (# 6329), and then paint one wall – either the one behind your bed or the one across from your doorway – a green like "pickle" (# 6725). It will look like sand & plam trees, and then find an ocean blue comforter. It will look gorgeous.

I would do either a light yellow or light blue. If you put a light color paint you can add vibrate colors. You can even add a magnetic surf bourd. Check out Pottery Barn kids ( I use it and I am not even a kid)

I would say a pale Mustard, or look for those "bright sand" colors. Use plain wood as much as you can, but not with shiny laquers or finishes, better flat ones.

I live at the beach and for the most part, vibrant pastels are the thing. Flamingo pink, turquoise blue, mint green with warmer shades of tan or peach. These colors are also being seen outside the home as well

Blue and white should be the main colors. Add a bit of sand color and a splash of yellow. If your furniture is dark, paint it white. Paint the walls an ocean blue, use a crisp white comforter and different shades of blue pillows, mix and match the patterns. It’s easy to find accessories that look beachy. A big print above the bed with a beach scene would look great too.
