What would be good decor for a beach themed room?

Anything: paint color, bed spreads, lighting, wall decoration, ect.

I think that a nice, sandy beige on the walls would be nice. Add pale blue accents with pillows and stuff. Shells and polished rocks are good decorative items(put them on picture frames maybe.) polished glass is nice mosaicced on a bedside table. White is another good color to add as a beach room in usually very light and airy feeling. I like round mirrors too, I guess they remind us of portholes in shipe. Beach towels are usually striped and could even be used as the material to make pillows. The possibilities are endless. good luck.

i’d go with a light blue or green wall and any lighting fixture can basically be spruced up with a lei or some other tropical thing. have a mini palm tree in the corner (real or blow up) and shells as decoration. my friend has that (blue wall, palm trees, shells, and leis (not the cheap party kind but nice ones) and it looks great, she also has a white wood beach chair in the corner and it def adds. her bed is light green and white, matching the walla nd chair

Straw materials, like the lining of a couch or a staw rug. Light pastel colors and soft, worn fabrics.

Hang a big fish net from the ceiling and tack it to the ceiling at several points, but allow it to hang down so it looks like a fishing net. Then put big sea shells, coral, ocean stuff in it.

The color of Tiffany & Co.- that really pretty aqua blue. I would be careful with anything that has raffia in it in an attempt to look more beachy. Go classic: beautiful shells and Glade plug-ins with the scent of the ocean. I did my guest bath with aqua blue and tan. If you are into photography, a collage of beach pics is great too. Good luck!

Anything with Hibiscus (the flower) on it. Yesterday I’ve seen some fleece blankets and pillows with that flower on it at Wal-Marts. Or if you can get ahold of an old surfboard for the wall or perhaps the headboard. Check garage sales. Also, if you are nearby any surf shops. A lot of them are starting to carry items for the home.

    Good luck.
